What does a market order mean to ETRADE? I put in a market order to sell for over 2 hours now and still have yet to receive my confirmation. Of course the stock is now dropping, and I have cancelled....but have yet to receive the cancellation confirmation. Now I have to wait and see what went thru in order to make more plays on this stock. ETRADE is really testing my patience! This is my first time reading this thread, and now you all have spooked me. I'm going to have to examine my ETrade account tonight. Somehow, my puny gains for the two years that I've been trading with ETrade shows a balance that is lower than the initial balance I had before I began trading. Does that make any sense? I couldn't be at breakeven.....maybe it's the commissions that's doing me in. Well, I might just have to check out other brokerages for my daytrading.
