Thanx andrew..

You're right.. some small xposure that didn't do a "great job" for WAVX.

Wasn't it Merriam Webster who kicked off the copyright thing to ensure his reception of something in return for working so long and hard at his love for lex? The fire caught and spread among "performers" who could begin to capture their better moments modified slightly by a promoters technology. STARS WERE BORN!! And we NEED them.. Oh how we need them.

To quote Lou Reed.. (hope he doesn't sue me for this)
.....Does anybody need another million dollar movie
.... Does anybody need another million dollar Star

Yes! People seem to need to live in veneration of REALLY COOL OTHER people. Stage People! To have the mind to pay in cash for the pleasure of their plays, music, and honorary taped persiflage; replete with the added bonus of mental angst really cool peoples' heavy, lyrical messages impute. It's one take after another of “special events” to copyright yet another copy and sequel to so much of the same old shit for the benefit of the “average people.” If you're THEIR average audience, YOUR mind wakes up in the morning to be the media's toilet. You're a typical Newspaper reader and T.V. aficionado of ritual entertainment and its latest weather report on the state of humanity's “perceived” turmoil. You've kept your nervous system connected up to the world's mixing board to be “informed.” Something inside you wants to puke. A transcendental dreamer who right ‘round this time of year comes out with everybody else to bravely declare its love and hatred for the world as it is and its hopes for a life after death eternal to end it all..

Oh well. I've gone too far again, andrew. The article whose link you posted is indeed lacking something of import concerning it premises. IMHO. I've "friends" at the FCC. Hearing their revelations about the nature of Hollyweird we'd not be so sympathetic with a line like..
"Consumers need to understand that by buying pirated product, they are cannibalizing the industry they love," says Kathlene Karg, Director of Intellectual Property and Public Policy at IDSA.”

Do we Love these brokers and jokers whose tails we're eating? Why? For their concern for the arts and compassion for the artists who may not have to kiss their hairy and many headed butts anymore to get “published?” Oh industry of “entertaining” us with so much bad taste at such “reasonable prices!” Who the hell lives their lives to be entertained by OTHER PEOPLE whose profession it is to do just that for those so bored with themselves? Even children find ways to occupy themselves better.

Imagine, the whole entertainment ‘industry' which we'd LOVE goes economically tits up? So what?
Would we be necessarily deprived by the lacking of “professionals” who provide it? Will not musicians and what not still delight in playing and performing for us?

While everybody's hustling for a buck and a dime on the Net, there's going to be a lot of economic displacement too.

Your preachy and by the way very guilty friend,
Marty
