H&Q is again warning slow-down in 97 for front-end equipment makers. This really does not apply to Tencor (not front-end). Quite the contrary, as PC shipments pick up so will orders for Tencor. Ever wonder why the analysts never attempt to predict growth for 98 and beyond and make some noise about that? My guess: the years leading toward 2000 will see phenomenal growth in semiconductors!
