Perhaps you would edit the calls to retain information that was of particular importance. I can see saving certain bits just because I know it useful.

Yesterday, I was looking for a press release from British Telecom and Checkpoint Software detailing their agreement for Checkpoint to provide network security management to BT's European customers. It was something I wanted to link together with the IBM/AT&T announcement where AT&T is building a global high bandwidth network. AT&T is also partnering with BT. My interest is to develop the connection between Checkpoint and AT&T.

Anyway, the point is that this text file has already dropped off the easy access list despite the fact that it's only a couple months old. If Business Wire won't keep PR for 3 months, how long do you think Broadcast.com can keep video? 3 weeks?

I think it will also be interesting to see how companies go about presenting themselves when they are on video. Will the best performing companies trade on the sex appeal of their CEO? Will video offer an amazing new forum to show new products? Will the introduction of charts and graphs make numbers look more impressive thereby developing even greater price swings at quarterly earnings time?

But you know, the point is this will certainly change the way you use the internet and add system demands to the network and your own computer. This is just a first step. Won't be an easy step here in Australia because they are already very expensive, way behind in technology and they charge for download volume which would put these kinds of interactions off the map and very expensive. Even if broadcast.com were to make it all free, the Australia phone company would charge money. I even have to pay .20 for a local phone call from my house.

This monopolistic attitude is very profitable. We should have bought Telstra at their IPO last year for a 300% rise.

Regards,

Mark
