3d Systems Opens New Colorado Manufacturing Facility

First Products Shipped On Schedule

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq-NNM: TDSC) today
announced the first shipment of product from its new $5 million manufacturing facility which officially opens today.

Charles W. Hull, president, stated that, "Opening this new facility marks an important step forward in our growth plans to
meet anticipated demand for our products. These first stereolithography systems shipped from Grand junction were built at
this facility. In fact, all new production scheduled for the balance of 1996 will be manufactured in Grand junction."

The first machine to ship from the facility is an SLA-250 Series 50, one of the latest variants in the company's product line of
rapid prototyping equipment. A number of advanced SLA-350s and larger SLA-500s are in final testing and being prepared
for customer shipment.

In addition to manufacturing, the company relocated to Grand junction a number of departments, including quality assurance,
manufacturing engineering, and customer service. The company expects to recruit additional new hires for a variety of
departments. Corporate headquarters remain in Valencia, California.

More than 100 3D Systems' Grand Junction employees, as well as officials from local and state government, celebrated the
ribbon-cutting ceremony with an official tour of the 66,000 square foot manufacturing site.

The 10-acre construction project in an industrial area near Grand junction's airport was completed in only six months. Design
and construction of the facility was completed by local firms: Ed Chamberlain Architects and Francis Constructors.

Completed construction represents the first phase of a planned expansion which could eventually total 188,000 square feet of
facilities. Site preparation and the building shell plan have already been completed for the next phase of construction.

3D Systems Corporation develops, manufactures and markets solid-imaging systems. In manufacturing, 3D's products
fabricate physical objects using input from CAD/CAM systems, substantially reducing the time and cost of bringing new
products to market. Major applications include rapid prototyping and tooling for products in a variety of manufacturing
industries worldwide such as automotive, aerospace, medical computer, electronic and consumer products.

Except for the historical information contained in this news release, the matters discussed are forward-looking statements that
involve uncertainties, such as the timely development and acceptance of new products, the impact of competitive products
and pricing, and other risks detailed from time to time in the company's SEC reports, including Form 10-K for the year
ended December 31, 1996.
