Any news from these people is nice, especially when the stock jumps approx. 300% in a two day span (low of .62, high of 1.87). This news release looks very promising and not to rain on anybody's parade (mine included since I'm at least temporarily in the black on this one after sitting in the hole for about a month), does this announcement mean there will actually be revenues from this company or is this another "proof of concept" deal. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure "proof of concept" i.e., Ralston-Purina for those of you familiar with this company, means prove to me your project works and maybe down the road if we need more work we'll throw you a bone for your work. I spoke to a friend in the industry who told me TPI's approach for these deals is wrong - instead of providing free "proof of concepts", the company should simply say we'll migrate your systems and you don't pay unless it works. That way, proof of concept is coupled with real earnings - which is the only way this co. is going to move sharply up and stay there. Perhaps Peugot will cough up some cash if not for this deal, then for the remaining machines needing migration. For those interested, my friend pointed me to an article ghost-written by Paul Mighton, TPI's CEO, in the November 21 issue of "Computing Canada." You can bring it up off Lexis - I don't know if it's on the Net.
