Making what up? I didn't create Saddam, and I certainly don't give him the amount of credit that you do. If we lifted sanctions, Saddam would have much more money to build his war machine.
Sanctions worked in Cuba. While good ole Russia was funding Cuba, Cuba was funding murders and disrupting countries around the world. How many Cuban soldiers died in the jungles of Angola? Castro is one sick puppy. If we didn't have sanctions on Cuba, Castro would still be causing misery around the globe.
Lift sanctions on your buddy Saddam, and he would use the extra wealth for predatory purposes, not for the benefit of his people. He would spread as much misery around the world as he could.

Nonsense. There would be many more innocent villagers killed if Saddam had the funds to build bigger and better war machines. I guess you don't remember when he gassed an entire village.
