I have almost scrapped my plan to install the application files on a separate drive/partition as I have come to appreciate the potential to get ALL screwed up on drive letters.

My preference would be to have one large C drive for OS and applications too. Partitions could be used for storing Drive Image files, data files and graphics. Second and third drives could be used for independent operating systems and additional storage.

I get a little worried about having 6 GB + on one drive/partition. Also the removable backup options would require disk spanning..not one of my favorite options. I then start trying to find secondary applications that are good candidates for a second partition. I go back and forth with the concept. The C drive seems to be winning the tug of war.
