We buy practically all of our Mac software via the catalog outfits. We SHOP 'em all! Re the hardware.....I'll buy the iMacs from my local computer guy. Over the years, he's provided us with SUPER service. In 10 years of Mac-ing, I've called Apple only twice...each time to get a specific question answered. The other support came from my local guy....so we'll always buy from him. Man, these G3's are fast, huh! Turned on my old 7600 just to see if it still worked....and thought it was broken...it took so long to boot up! (g) I'm mildly long Apple.....feeling anxious about the current quarter.....
