Re: The Trend
I think that today's noise from the FCC, regarding the SBC/AIT and BEL/GTE mergers (see biz.yahoo.com ) will put everything on hold, ADSL-wise, until the situation is sorted out.
That does not bode well for WSTL, although ORCTF was up today - perhaps due to this:
Lucent Technologies and Orckit Communications to Jointly Market DSL Products for Europe, Middle East and Africa
TEL AVIV, Israel, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Orckit Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: ORCTF - news) and Lucent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: LU - news) announced today that they have signed a sales and marketing agreement targeting the growing Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) market in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
I'm out of WSTL for now, but do keep an eye on it. ADSL's day will come, but for the time being, I'm in cable modems, and the supporting infrastructure required for any delivery of high speed bandwidth down the "last mile".
