France Telecom and LHS Group Announce Global Partnership
ATLANTA/FRANKFURT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 1998--LHS Group Inc. (NASDAQ: LHSG - news) Neuer Markt: LHI) and France Telecom (NYSE: FTE - news) today announced a global framework agreement under which France Telecom has selected LHS' flagship client/server-based comprehensive customer care and billing system, Business Support and Control System (BSCS), as a preferred system for France Telecom's international telecommunications operations and joint ventures.
Through the agreement, France Telecom ensures that its wireless and wireline ventures worldwide will benefit from its close relationship with LHS.
France Telecom is one of the largest telecommunications carriers in the world, with operations in more than 50 countries. Multiple France Telecom operations and joint ventures currently utilize BSCS, including Wind Telecommunicazioni s.p.a., the Italian telecommunications consortium, and France Caraibe Mobiles, providing digital and analog cellular service in French Departments in the Caribbean.
