It really depends on whether you are tied into ZIP at present. If not, there is no reason to buy a Zip drive in my opinion. You can get an LS120 drive (which reads existing 1.44meg floppies) and also reads 120meg special floppies. Sony just released something called a HiFD drive, which is also compatible with existing floppies and used 200mb special floppies. The advantage with these drives is that you don't need two drives in the machine, one will do. If given the choice, I would go with one of these rather than a Zip. If the Sony drive catches on, the Zip may slowly fade away....
