CSC prevails in IRS deal- biz.yahoo.com My loose network sources tell me that EDS and AA were both very displeased at how their prime leader Martin Marietta was handling the procurement so a CSC/IBM/UNISYS/KPMG win was not unexpected. I never understood why EDS did not pursue this deal as a Prime. There was a lapse in judgement or EDS just did not want to put the investment in a government deal that does not return the margins that are available in the private sector. CSC lives off the government contracts so they know how to manage and staff these agreements without screwing up their corporate culture. Therefore, I am not reading too much into this situation. Maybe its smarter to put scarce resources into Electronic Billing, E_commerce, and vertical industry efforts.
