Well, for those of you who have been posting to this thread through last summer, you will be amused to know that the other employee, President, of MPEG Associates is none other than a man named Michael Wiley, 30 year old from Univ of Michigan with NO experience in digital video. If the name rings a bell but does not fully compute let me help you:

or

or how about this one. Does it remind you of anyone's style?
techstocks.com
can you say..shalin.

some more humor.

here's a good one.

and.

and this was the beginning of him being exposed by Rachel Kuecks in post#6716 as being incompetent

Anyway, this guy is the President of the organization that Herb Greenberg holds up as the experts in the field. My opinion is that, like Herb, these guys are shills for the Hedge Funds, many whom are short CUBE. Rocker Partners, sometimes mentioned by Herb, is a hedge fund that is run out of NYC by David Rocker along with a couple of guys out of Larkspur, CA. A few years back Rocker made a huge bet that MediaVision (yes, the wonderful Mr. Jain) and its stock would head for the trashbin. But it was not Rocker who found this "short jewel". It was a guy named Jeff Montgomery who informed David Rocker of the opportunity. Montgomery is no longer with the firm. As is in the business, once you hit the big one, the tail starts to wag the dog and you can start planting stories to benefit your position (my opinion). Fundamentals are secondary in the near term in this situation. If this isn't too boring I'll continue later in the week.
PS: Herb finally emailed me back on Wednesday with the number for MPEG Assoc. I called for kicks today and, it seems that Herb waited until they put in a semi-professional answering machine before he started giving out the phone number of his "professional" source.
