TENNET: Off topic ...
On the PC side, I see the following companies being big Y2K winners:
Network Associates (NETA) will benefit from McAfee's Year 2000 Toolbox product. It is a multi-functioned toolkit similar to MBCK, but provides virus scanning and other utilities as well, for less money. See store.mcafee.com
Symantec (SYMC) will benefit from the Norton 2000 product. See symantec.com
On the mainframe side, the picture is much fuzzier. Some of the service providers will do well (IMRS, KEA). Some tool vendors also have services (CA, CPWR, PLAT, VIAS). And, there are code factories that have a chance to shine (ALYD, CSGI, FRX.U, PTUS). ZITL has MatriDigm's tool, and it could surprise a lot of people. TPII has a license to Bob Bemer's Vertex 2000 product. Another sleeper. All of the companies mentioned here are currently depressed from their former glory days. I doubt they will get back to those prior levels, but a healthy increase from their current stock prices wouldn't surprise me.
