XYLN / LU take over?

From what I have heard, Lucent should be moving soon on it's
takeover.
Everybody has been waiting since October for LU to announce an
acquisition but one problem prevented them from doing this, the
price of their stock. In early October it was down at 60 and it
didn't make sense for them to try a takeover. Now that the stock is at 100, they can get more value since it will now take fewer shares to acquire someone. This was the big holdup. As far as who they are going to take out, I think it should be XYLN. According to my source, they have been acquiring many shares in the company over the last few months (but just below 5%). If my source is correct, we should be very happy shortly.
Any comments?
