One can listen to the conference recording of ASND (1-800-475-6701, code 326346). It's shocking to learn that ISP's are not very enthusiastic about 56k technology, due to the non-standardization status (x2 vs. k56). From this, I hardly see any insentive for ISP's or telco's to pursue ADSL at this point. ASND and MFS currently only work on 128k IDSL (symmetric), why do they choose such "slow" speed when DMT or CAP can give you a lot higher bit rates?
