No doubt about it. Can you beat a mysterious system32 directory dump every time you boot NT for kicks --- see if you can edit the registry to eliminate that one!

And it will be Linux that rivals Netware for uptime, no doubt, and they both run as well on 486's as NT does on a K6-2-333.

However I believe you are posting from the UK. take a look over to the eastern edge of Europe and you will find this big Eurasian mess called Russia.

Microsoft's operating systems function just the way Russian governments do, and Russia has 1000 years of history. It proves very simply that idiots can and do design systems that the rest of us have to live with --- that is MSFT's strength, once they can control how people think.
