John: Personally, I would opt for Europe. Its gorgeous there that time of year. You might want to start out in Germany (Munich). You can either train or rent a car and drive through the alps. Once through Austria and Switzerland, it's not to far to Northern Italy...... Egypt...... well culturally you've got the antiquities which are fascinating....but it's night / day. My vote....Europe Diver
