Dear Chris,

That Russian and overall international interest in golf sounds positive, as most of the articles that I have read lately mention that the popularity of golf in the U.S. has remained flat over the past few years. Next week could be an interesting ride for ALDA. I was looking at a long term chart, and as I have stated in my earlier post, the week in front of the Florida convention last year produced a spike up in price to $7 3/8 on very heavy trading volume. Next week is the pre convention 97 period. We may have the same pattern as '96. Today the price action was strong in the first three hours of trading, but volume dried up late in the session. Most of the later day trades were hitting the bid, but there was enough overall demand to keep the closing price the same as yesterday's. That was a very bullish sign. If the volume can get near 1 million shares on a given day next week, another 1/2 point + run up is probable. My spin on ALDA: I think that the heavy trading will continue next week with a continued mark up in price. After the convention is over, the may be a round of profit taking for a few days. Then the price will rise up again in advance of the earnings release on 2-5-97. Low to high, there was about a 3/4 point move in the run up prior to and during last quarter's release of earnings, which suprised the Street. This quarter's earnings (.10 - .11 e.p.s vs. .03 in '96)) will serve to confirm the positive trend elicted then and should bring a fresh round of new money in. Also, my technicals are still very bullish. Wish you well with all of your investments. GO ALDA.
