BTW, Clarence, I, we, all of us, have neglected to mention one important utility for NT, namely DOS. If you can't boot DOS, you are walking the high wire without a net. You can't even flash your bios.
An alternative is win 95 or 98, as these systems can also boot to a pure dos prompt (they have advanced DOS versions, too). NT can't, though. Actually, NT COULD include a version of DOS, and it should (since you can't do certain basics without it), but it doesn't.
