LS 120 drives--my 2c (I like 'em, but s-l-o-w)

LS 120's can often be had for $40 or less after rebate--a great bargain. The more expensive part is the media. Also, it can be easier to boot with them than zip drives. NT will recognize it as the "a" drive if no floppy, or the "b" drive with one floppy, making drive lettering less problematic than the zip.

While LS offers very good floppy performance, I find it takes a long time to backup too. I backup a 100 MB data directory to it every couple of days, with 1000s of small files, and this takes a good 1/2 hour or more.

IDE device limits are the main potential downside, IMHO. If you need or may need more than 1 other ATAPI device, a SCSI zip or some other solution might be better. (I wish LS 120s had a SCSI version.)
