As for Arafat....two scenarios could occur...

Oh by the way..I'm a political scientist (grad from Canada's best university for the liberal arts :) So I actually enjoy talking politics and analyzing situations. Its another area people can ask me for advice on if they need some questions answered.

I think the Arafat dying thing could go two ways:

A) he hands power over to a respectable replacement and the strained peace process continues as is with no major wars.

b) he cannot choose a new leader, or dies suddenly, and a power struggle follows. The new leader is eratic and non-conforming and incites violence in the region. The peace process collapses and we near war again in the middle east.

Also, oil stocks are looking better today. May want to take a look at REL:TSE which bottomed out at about $4.85 yesterday. I'll update it today for everyone....it is both a prime takeover target as well as a stock that trades at about 6.50-7 usually. It was the victim of a bad report in the Toronto area by an analyst that said the company was about to have its loans called. Totally false rumor....rebounding should occur.

Later,
CM
