Hello Thierry, we hit 16, did you notice? And I am quite sure that it is going to rise, rise, rise (not "explode"). Living in Germany, I can let you all know that Eidos is going to sell more than 800.000 copies of TR III, a definite record in Germany. Maybe they even make a million. Until now the production facilities hardly keep up with the pace the stuff is grabbed off the shelves. There is a definite lara croft frenzy over here. shops like "media markt", one of the big chains, sell Lara-posters (!) for fifteen Deutschmarks (more than nine usd). lara is the star in a tv spot of germany's leading women's magazin "brigitte" and kids even break the glass of socalled citylight poster-stations to steal the posters. let them publish their christmas sales figures..also: with their creative potential, earning on all levels of production, hard- and software, they have an excellent position to go a long way in a booming market (expectations for the pc game market in germany alone by the year 2000 is two billion deutschmarks (1,200.205.000). And the ratio playstation/pc is shifting. now it is more or less 45% playstation, 55 % pc, quite a change. Wolfgang |
