Each industry has its flagships.
The "Internet industry" has several flagships, one of which is NSCP. In the past, I've bought and sold MSFT and INTC a few times, always for a decent profit, except for one broker induced panic which was break even (save the brokerage fee). Had I merely held on to these two PC industry flagships through the dawn of their industry, I would have made significantly more profit. This time I am willing to risk a reasonable amount of money (for me) and hold on to NSCP for 5 years. The exciting thing about NSCP is that it is on the desktop and is pioneering C/S apps for third parties. C/S apps need exposure, and that's what NSCP is providing to software companies everywhere, exposure.

By the way, I'm also going to hold MSFT and INTC for the next few years, because I think the PC industry is still in its infancy (at most it is in elementary school), and these two companies have shown incredible willingness to move forward at breakneck speed.

I'm a techie, and besides, what other categories are out there that look better than tech stocks for now and in the future? It looks to me as if the whole world is embracing computer network technology the way it has embraced the telephone and TV networks. I think a person could get elected President of the USA with the slogan, "Two PCs in every home, and every home connected to the Internet".
