To all: Mytec (fingerprinting). Looks hot. Excuse me for
breaking in without perusing previous entries. Have just read
page A6 of the Globe and Mail, the article on Welfare IDs.
The article implies that "biometric encryption" is the front runner in
the Toronto welfare contract bid. That implies that Mytec (MYT on tse)
is in the lead at this point.
MYT is now trading around $8. The names of the companies on the welfare
ID shortlist are not mentioned. I speculate that if Mytec wins the contract,
it will increase considerably in price today or during the week.
If you do not want to buy in, then just watch the volume today.

I figure that the downside risk is having Mytec sag to $6 or even $4,
and the upside could be $12 or more.

Last I heard, Mytec was shipping a few scanner units in April.
