I haven't seen the press release, but this from Robbie Stephens:
After the close on December 9, 1998, Genesys announced that Ori Sasson, ex-Chairman and CEO of Scopus Technology, Inc.will become CEO of Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc. In a related transaction, Genesys will purchase Plato Software, a developer of agent-based software technology solutions for the Web. Mr. Sasson is a principal of Plato Software, which Genesys will acquire for 200,000 shares of GCTI. The transaction is expected to close during the current quarter, and is not expected to have material revenue or EPS impact in the near term. Michael McCloskey, Genesys' President, will report to Mr. Sasson and will remain in his current position. McCloskey will focus on operations while Sasson will focus on product and business development. Gregory Shenkman will once again become Chairman of Genesys' Board of Directors, and former Genesys Chairman Jim Jordan will leave the board but continue to serve in an advisory capacity. |
