PSCO looks to go large. One that caught our attention is ProtoSource PSCO on nasd. Protosource, a regional ISP based in California, announced just today that they have signed agreements with two unamed national internet backbone providers that will offer them the ability to go offer their service in 270 cities across the country- "ProtoSource Corporation Expands Service Area, Becomes National ISP, Seeks to Acquire and Consolidate ISPs FRESNO, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- ProtoSource Corporation (''the Company'') (Nasdaq: PSCO; PSCOW), today announced it has entered into agreements with two national backbone providers that allow the Company to offer Internet Service Provider (ISP) services nationally. Through these agreements, ProtoSource has the ability to offer dial-up and other related Internet access services to over 85% of the United States. Previously, the Company had offered services only in the central San Joaquin valley of California. The float is 1.7M with 1.9M outstanding for a market cap near $12M-currently trading in the 6s. By contrast GEEK's 6.2M shares outstanding at 16 figures a market cap at close to $100M.
