Thanks for the advice Tae.

I now have some Spectrum Holobyte stock and I'm quite happy with it. I p up a fair bit of information about the company and they have a lot of things going for them. These things being:

- Civ II.
- Magic: The Gathering.
- Master of Orion II: Battle of Antares.

I've been looking forward to these games personally and they all are in unique niches with essentially no competition in their genres. Civ II is one of a kind and has a huge following. Magic: The Gathering is different from any computer game ever made and has a huge RPG following. Master of Orion II has multiplayer options and other goodies that will make it the only multiplayer turn based war game of it's kind.

Not to mention that the CEO or somewhere up in the high echelons was a big wig at Sega a couple of years ago. This was the man that was primarily responsible for pulling Sega ahead of Nintendo for the majority of the 16-bit console wars. I read an article that he wanted to take control of his own firm (or something like that) so I have real great expectations from this company.

Shortly after this guy stepped in, Spectrum Holobyte appears to have become a lot more aggressive. The purchase of Microprose was brilliant and the fruits are just coming to bear now (the big three games - Civ II, Magic: THe Gathering, Master of Orion II).

Plus, the big 3d games coming out (Quake, Prey, etc.) and the ones that are already out (Duke Nukem 3d) will have no effect on the sales of these strategy games since they are totally seperate genres.
