Keith or anyone

Noticed that Bell (Sympatico) and Nortel are now teaming up yo offer ADSL services in specific parts of Can.

I know there was some discussion of the relative merits a while ago on the thread, I just can't seem to find it. If you could point me to the proper posts it would be greatly appreciated.

Sympatico seems to be offering unlimited downloads, 1 e-mail, 5meg personal web space for $39.95/month.

There is a one time $50.00 set-up fee, and free modem rental until April/99, plus a free copy of Encarta.

QUESTION

If you go with ADSL, can you still keep you old analog modem set up (I use it as a fax machine). Is it possible to plug two modems into a computer at the same time (I am actually using a MAc with built in Ethernet).

Sympatico is saying it is possible to set the ADSL modem up to send/receive faxes, they just will not be supporting it

TIA
