This Weeks Picks:
CHRZ- Computer Horizons Corporation provides integrated information-systems solutions. Its products and services include the "Signature 2000" solution for themillennium change, client/server systems development, network management, document imaging, outsourcing, and software development and maintenance. The company's clients are primarity Fortune 1000 companies with significant information technology budgets and recurring software-development needs. CHRZ acquired Enterprise Solution Group. CHRZ seems like an attractive bargain at this level for the long term. Current Price 20 7/8.
TMBS- Timberline Software Corporation develops accounting and management information software. Its software handles everything from building design and construction to managing a property. Construction accounting software produced by Timberline is designed for tasks involving the handling of: general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts, receivable, and payroll. Estimating software is designed to allow and estimator to compile a bid on a construction job based on parameters such as: architectural design, building materials, and labor costs. Property management software provides managers of residential and commercial properties with information on revenues and expenses of various properties. We see TMBS as a long term investment but should also garner a good short term return. The fundamentals seem solid on this company with increasing earnings quarter to quarter and year to year. Current Price 12 1/8.
DIS- Disney is in the business of entertainment. Certainly most of you are already familiar with this company and need no further company information. We see Disney as a undervalued company at this point for the long term. It is one of the few companies that will thrive in any market condition. This stock is a good bellweatherer. Also, this should prove to be a very good stock for the long term as you will probably see in the next few years. Current Price 31 3/8.
Internet Play of the Week
SEVL- 7th Level, Inc. develops Internet software tools and technologies for the preparation and streaming of real-time, intelligent, interactive animated content and characters over the Internet and other networks. SEVL has experienced some heavy volume lately. Rumors are flying about relationships with AOL or Microsoft. Indeed this company is not for those who seek fundamentals. But, for those who like to play a little this may be a good stock to play with. This next week will certainly be interesting. Either the Internet stock goes shooting up or it will crash. These two scenarios will weigh heavily on SEVL for the coming week. Current Price 3 1/2.
