Most are aware of VLSI getting hammered Friday. Found the following on briefing.com last night. VLSI Technology (VLSI) 16 7/8 -6 3/8: --UPDATE-- issue tumbling today after semiconductor chip maker failed to meet the Wall Street "whisper" numbers. Separately, Montgomery Securities cut its FY97 estimate by a dime to $1.30 a share..... Does anyone know what the "whisper" number was? And is there a "whisper" number out there for SIII? Anyone aware of the forward looking projections that VLSI conveyed in their conference call? Dave
