It's not like this is some obscure gold and mineral play in the jungles of Africa. California is close, and hydrocarbons are very prone in the area and continue to scream from that 9 1/2" hole in the ground.

So what if there's water in that stream? Production of water is very common along with hydrocarbons - and we only have small exposure to the reservoir.

There's a large amount of acreage tied up over a large structure. Even if there is water under the formation (worst case scenario), why not go updip a few hundred feet? The numbers are still quite attractive at this level.
