Maurice & Larry,

Just came across you discussion. I thought I'd give you some additional data. I'm 53. I started investing 12 years ago. I quit working 8 years after that. I started investing in very conservative bond type investments. I was about 75% bonds and 25% stocks. I have since that time moved to about 50%/50% and am planning on maintaining that position. So, I've been taking more risk. I live off my investments so I guess not all in my generation will be moving out of equities. The generation ahead of me definitely does. I try to help my mother out (80 years) but all she is interested in is generayting income. So I think your thoughts are correct there. Her generation doesn't have a knowledge of the market and have some justifiable fear.I think the more knowledge of the market you accumulate the more risk you are willing to take. I meet with several of my retired friends every week and discuss our findings. We all do fundamental analysis followed up with technical analysis to determine when to buy.
So, the future may include more than just population (births) for the market. It may include more of the exisiting population coming to the market. Just a thought,

Good trading

Peter :)
