I didn't think you were being flippant, enigma. While I was, to some extent, I was also stating what I think is a truth about this whole matter: people who are paying attention to this process have been consistently 60% to 70% in favor of impeachment. Those numbers hold for talk show (TV and radio) polls, internet polls, and newspaper mail-in polls. The only polls that reflect the opposite point of view, that is, a majority AGAINST impeachment, are those where pollsters contact the people polled, not vice-versa.
What this leads me to believe, rightly or wrongly, is that most people who are literate and who pay attention to current events, are in favor of this impeachment.
In that light, I suppose there may be something to your contention that it is an anti-government attitude; these days, I don't see how any thinking person could be PRO-government. (sad<g>)
