Emile, a very disproportionate number of the early Bolsheviks were Jews and thus of commissars and apparatchiki... Did they join and develop the Bolshevik movement because they had an overpowering urge to murder Christians, or because they were tired of a government that did nothing to prevent Christians from murdering them, among numerous other flaws? The Russian revolution was a reaction to the misgovernment of one of the most repressive, corrupt, and incompetent regimes ever to rule a country with a long tradition of bad government. The Czars built up a huge reserve of hatred among many people; to blame the violence that accompanied the release of that hatred on a Jewish plot is to deny the chain of historical cause and effect. But then you've never seemed to care much about history, except to the extent that you can select isolated slices of it that, taken in isolation, appear to confirm your prejudices. Steve
