OMEGA HEALTH SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTS MILLBROOK CORPORATION'S PARADIGM PRACTICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM; SYSTEM WILL INTEGRATE OMEGA'S NATIONWIDE EYE CARE NETWORK
CARROLLTON, TEXAS (Dec. 10) BUSINESS WIRE -Dec. 10, 1998--Millbrook Corporation today announced that the Company has signed an agreement with Omega Health Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq/NMS:OHSI) to implement the Millbrook Paradigm(TM) practice management system for Omega's nationwide eye care network. Millbrook is a leading provider of financial and administrative services/physician practice management software for the healthcare industry.
The system, which runs on a Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R) operating system and SQL Server relational database, will allow Omega's affiliated doctors across the country to interface and share critical patient information. In addition, the open architecture of the system will provide customized data-reporting, scheduling and billing capabilities for the entire Omega system. The system is being installed on hardware from Dell Computer Corporation with which Omega has a favorable purchasing agreement. Implementation is underway and, to date, the system is operational in seven of Omega's 22 markets.
