Wait a minute, as if all those for impeachment are socially intolerant biggots or something, is that it? Any man who would knowingly wrongly defame an American woman citizen, and deny another a fair day in court, is unfit for the Presidency. He SHOULD furthermore be removed by the senate. LOTS of folks can understand that. Lifetime Democrats in my own family understand that. Political arguments like yours against impeachment detract from the point. We are a Republic, and hence the will of the majority must not detract from the unalienable rights of the individual. And so too a President who has apparently knowingly denied an individual Citizen her rights with his perjury, should stand trial in the Senate regardless of the will of the majority. I hope these Republicans succeed. The public isn't going to castrate them for it, though Republicans know arguments like that will be taken up against them. It just adds nothing to the issue at hand. More voters voted Republican than Democrat in the last election- which is telling.
