Not only is Intel sold out and Cyrix out of the game. Large OEMs have
to sign up with AMD now to reserve a priority slot for product allocation should the K7 work as well as anticipated. No major OEM wants to be locked out of a market like the K7 could create.

High throughput workstations are both high volume and good price. OEMS make money on this class of machine. If they have to "run through" some K6-2s at the low end to get "in the cue" they will do it. This will help sales to Major OEMS for Q1 and Q2 of 1999 and indirectly help keep the price of the K6-3 and the ASP higher.

Considering all these factors, the first two quarters of 1999 should be very good for AMD, IMHO.
