I have to agree with you on that point. Seattle is clearly missing the mark trying to build a good pitching staff.
Now that Johnson's gone they now need another starter along with mid relief and a closer. Clemens would be a very welcome addition.

It was a total guess on my part that the mariners were actually pursuing Roger but tonight I saw in print the list of teams interested. Seattle is on the list. Yahoooooo!!!!!

This could be a critical stage for Seattle. If they want to sign Griffy and A. Rod, they'll have to prove there serious about aquiring some real pitching talent. The problem is there's only a handfull of players that can really have an impact and they don't come cheap.

Rumor is Clemens will not be going to the Yankees, Astro's or Rangers, contrary to USA's implication that he would most likely be going to the Astro's.
