Hey, I am building this computer right now, and I have a nice 10 gig HD all partitioned and formatted, with win95 loaded up (won't trust 98 til 2000:)

I was wondering, could I take my slave drive from another computer and plop it in as a slave to my new computer? I have a lot of files I would like to transfer over. I don't want to format it, just plug it in and copy some data files (not programs which won't work since win95 won't recognize)? The drive lettering on it will not match up, but again nothing with drive references would be copied.

Are the partition letters assigned to each drive "hard" or will they bump up from f-i to, say, h-k?

Thanks for the help (I hope!)
jeff
