If I may change the current story line of the thread.

Yesterday I talked to Qualcomm. I am trying to locate an 800 Q phone in central Florida and went to Sprint. The Sprint store rep mentioned that Sprint pulled all 20K Q phones due to software problems, that this was done on Dec 2. He said he had no idea when the replacements would arrive.

I then called Qualcomm. They stated that there was no Qualcomm recall of the 800 Q phone. The rep also stated that Sprint had voluntarily recalled the phones due to the suspect plastic problem. He stated new phones had been shipped to Sprint in the middle of November.

I dont like it when two stories are so far out of bed. You can spin these stories in a number of different ways, but none of the explanations I can come up with point to a clear dissemination of information. That is not a good thing and this time of year it is especially bad.
