My understanding is he took over the PC side of the business and introduced the MSFT NT system to run along side the Alpha UNIX system. (64-bit computer; I even have one at home, but lost interest in it) Also, from what I heard, he had a good plan to get the PC side moving, but was thwarted by uppper management. Now COMPAQ has taken over this PC Alpha computer and is trying to do a similar move, but the right way. Tells me that Claflin knows something, but I've yet to hear him say much. Thanks, joe
