Baoho , thanks for comments on your call to OPTi. In the past OpTi has been on the leading edge of new chipset features , hence their success up to 1995 in gaining top OEM market share . Intel put the squeeze on them in 96 . The name of their top of line chipset for Pentium type cpus is (Vendetta) which means revenge for a previous wrong , lets hope it is that good . There was one thing I read which gave me a little concern , AMD wants chipset mfrs to design in AGP (accelerated graphics port ) for higher xfer rates for video , OPTi reportedly said that the higher complexity was not justified for business use . Whether they have support in their product plans or not , I am now a little uncertain , if anyone has any information please contribute . regards
