Lorrie, you don't know much about the law of testimony under oath. Misleading and evasion are as illegal as cold-hard lies, particularly when you have obvious evidence that the subject is engaging in those efforts purposefully.

Everyone here who keeps wailing about "it isn't perjury" is in for a major shock if they're ever involved in a legal fight. If you're smart enough to be a private investor you ought to be smart enough to engage an attorney - and if you have, you might want to ask him or her how far you'd get in a deposition or in testimony with those kinds of evasion. When he or she tells you that they couldn't represent you if you did that, you'd be surprised, right?

If you tried the "Clinton" maneuvers a 1st year barrister would eat you and your case alive and a skilled opponent's counsel would have the judge's clerk on the phone in one hand to schedule an evidentiary hearing while offering you an opportunity to "gracefully" settle the case in their favor to keep you out of a nasty and very public criminal case.

Few get away with it - bargains are the order of the day in many situations, so you don't see many behind bars, but it brings a case to rather abrupt conclusion and most often, to the detriment of the party who practices "flexible truth."

Go ahead, try it yourself and you'll see how far above the law Clinton really thinks he is.

Mr. K.
