Is there some exclusive patent or what-have-you that would prevent other companies from using this cell-replication proceedure? Is ASTM's claim-to-fame simply the kit that allows labs to replicate these cells from cord blood, or did ASTM do the intitial reasearch that led to the discoveries we are now seeing in the news? What safeguards are in place to insure that ASTM technology/product isn't leapfrogged by some huge phamaceutical company? Mike
