You right JMAR has taken the information about the LIGHTKNIFE off their web site because B&D and JMAR own the technology rights together, and JMAR has other things to do than wait for B&D to decide when they will go to market with the technology. My point is that B&D owns this market, and what they don't have is controlled by JNJ.

Plus none of the people I have talked with in the hospitals want to buy these laser lancets yet because of their high costs. I have done research on this when we at the JMAR thread were going to do will with our agreement with B&D, look at the JMAR thread posts 200 through 1500 approx. You will see what was found about this market at that time.

The LIGHTKNIFE is about the size of a fat cigar and looks like one. It also has a small disposable plastic tip that shields blood from splattering on the device. The device has a life of 200K to 300K uses with an average cost of .01 cent per use, I think.

It is not an issue of FDA approval it is an issue of cost and of market penetration.
