Raleigh, does FNET operate at a faster baud rate than other ISP's? I have America OnLine, Concentric.net (from Intuit) and FNET. I am planning on dropping all but FNET provided FNET delivers. So far I'm very happy. I don't get the "busy" signals with FNET that I get with the others but also, (and here's my question), it "seems" that when I'm on FNET the download of files and threads, "everything" seems to be faster. I'm not sure why but after reading your post I'm wondering if FNET uses faster modems. Is this my imagination or have I stumbled onto something?
