PTI Holding to repurchase up to 25 pct of shares

YONKERS, N.Y., Dec 11 (Reuters) - PTI Holding Inc. said Friday its board has authorized a buyback of up to 25 percent, or 1,275,000, of the company's outstanding shares.
The company said this will include both open market purchases as well as private transactions.
The amount, timing and share price of any repurchase will be approved at the discretion of the PTI management and its board of directors, the company said.
PTI Holding manufactures and distributes safety helmets, bicycles, bicycle accessories, and health and beauty care products.

(Nasdaq: PTII) announced today that it has begun to distribute its products on the Internet through Toys "R" Us's (NYSE: TOY) web site toysrus.com. The company has begun to sell its popular Spice Girls, Playskool and Tonka products through the web site and is working on further introductions in the near future. YONKERS, N.Y., Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- PTI Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: PTII) today announced that they have entered into a new distribution agreement with Wal*Mart Stores (NYSE: WMT).
The supply arrangement involves the Barbie helmet exclusively licensed through Mattel (NYSE: MAT). Wal*Mart has placed this helmet in 2,065 stores throughout the US, including all of their high volume Super Centers.
