Any information on current volatility of CMPT?

In light of the wide swings, I decided to get in at $2.75 hoping to go back to $4.00 soon. After seeing the action of the past few days, I called IR and although they were evasive, I surmized that some type of announcement is due out any day now. I can only guess it's related to the merger. IR said the "potential" announcement should be very positive.

Does anyone else have additional information?
